Navin Theyagaraj
Navin is a great guitarist and a very down-to-earth, unassuming musician. He is based in Madras, India and works with Young people to provide them with music training which in turn helps them to earn a livelihood. He runs a Youth hostel of sorts as well. Actually I am going to ask him to do a write up of his work and his music.
I know him since last year when he was visiting Toronto. I was the MC for a concert by him that his Aunt and a couple of us organised to do a bit of fund raising for his project back home. He sings in English and I really like his style. I think he has three albums and I will have to find them all and put some music on here for you to sample.
